No algorithm picked these. A person did.

Vinyl Vault is not a marketplace and not a warehouse. It is a small, hand-run independent CD shop — the kind that used to sit between a coffee counter and a record store, where the person behind the desk had actually listened to everything on the shelf.

Every disc here was bought, cleaned, played through and graded by hand. We write the condition notes ourselves, including the flaws. We tell you which pressing you're getting and how it differs from the others. And we only list albums we'd keep for ourselves.

That means a small catalog instead of a million listings, and a real person answering your email instead of a support queue. If a disc doesn't match its grade, we pay the return postage — no questions, no restocking fee.

About the shop

Graded by hand, described without hype.

Vinyl Vault started as a market stall and a spreadsheet. Fifteen years of digging later, it's a small catalog with a simple rule: if we wouldn't put it on our own shelf, it doesn't go on the site.

Every disc is played through before listing. We check for skips, scuffs that affect playback, and water damage on inserts. What we find, we write down — including the bad parts. A Very Good+ record with a scuff on track seven is still a Very Good+ record, and you'll know about the scuff.

We only sell physical media. No downloads, no streams, no licenses that expire when a company changes hands. You buy the disc, you own the disc.

Played a handful of times. Disc surface is glossy with no visible marks under light.

Light surface marks from sleeve removal. Plays through cleanly with no skips.

Good

Visible wear and some surface noise. Fully playable, priced accordingly — always noted in the listing.

Returns. If a disc doesn't match its listed grade, email us within 30 days and we'll send a prepaid return label. Refund issued on arrival, no questions asked. We'd rather lose the sale than have you keep a record you're unhappy with.
